Music Session 2

C2C + Elephant

C2C are a very well known band in France and I felt so stupid when talking to my colleagues at work as I had to admit I didn’t know who they were. Being the kind people that they are they sent me some of their songs and low and behold I do know who they are! Hallelujah!

The group is made up of 4 members, all with extremely bizarre names: 20Syl and Greem, from the group Hocus Pocus, and Atom and Pfel from Beat Torrent. All 4 members come from Nantes in France. They’ve won the Disco Mix Club award of World Team Champion 4 times – 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006. In 2013 C2C won the European Border Breakers Award after only having released their first EP in January 2012 and their first album in September 2012. Pretty impressive.

Their song “Down the Road” featured in an OPI Nail Polish commercial (which I absolutely love love love love LOOOVEEEE. A lot.) in 2012 and also in a Dr Pepper advert in 2013.

Their song “Happy” literally does what it says on the tin. I was sat here at my desk thinking to myself that I am far too bored to do anything, I can’t even move to go and get myself a coffee. Boredom has reached extreme levels. I then found myself in front of this video and BOOM, I was sat there with a smile on my face for the next 4 minutes 20 seconds of this song. I am a massive fan of gospel as some of you may well know and so the gospel vibes in this song make it a winner in my books. I would also never usually watch a music video out of choice but this one is ACE. Check it out – I do have one request – please make sure you all turn this song up and have a little dance around the living room/bedroom/garden or wherever else takes your fancy! I’ve been bobbing around on my office desk for the past 15 minutes listening to this song on repeat.
